Created by Dr. Murray Clarke, founder of ChildLife Essentials®, ChildLife® Organic Gripe Water was formulated with a unique blend of all natural, USDA Certified Organic ingredients:
• Organic Ginger
Known for containing health promoting anti-oxidant compounds called gingerols, Ginger had been used for millennia as a soothing support for stomach discomfort due to nausea, indigestion, bloating and stomach cramps.* (3)
• Organic Fennel
A perennial herb native to the Mediterranean, Fennel is commonly used to help support during colic, bloating, and other stomach ailments because it is a natural carminative and helps to relax a spasmodic colon, release trapped gas, and act as a mild laxative.* (4)
• Organic Dill
Like Fennel, Dill is also native to the Mediterranean and has been used to dispel flatulence, relax the muscles of the digestive tract, and settle the stomach.* In addition, Dill is thought to reduce excess stomach acid and has been used for hiccups since medieval times.* (5)
• Organic Kiwifruit Extract
Sourced from New Zealand, Kiwifruit contains a whole host of anti-oxidants and phytonutrients, in addition to beneficial soluble and insoluble fiber that can helps maintain bowel regularity and the natural ecology of “good” bacteria in your baby’s digestive tract.* (6,7)
Other Ingredients: Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Purified Water.
Free of gluten, casein, alcohol, milk, eggs, wheat, yeast, corn, benzoates, sorbates, parabens, and artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners.
As Gripe Water is oftentimes the first liquid a baby experiences beyond breast milk or formula, it is vitally important that it be free of impurities and unnecessary chemicals, and that it contain only safe, natural, and time tested ingredients.
ChildLife® Organic Gripe Water derives its flavor from the therapeutic active ingredients and the organic vegetable glycerin which primarily serves as a natural preservative and stabilizer so that the product keeps working throughout its shelf life.
Do not give this product to a child if they are allergic to any of the ingredients. Since infants and children have immature immune systems, always consult your healthcare provider prior to use.
For infants from birth to 6 months: 2 ml. as needed
For infants 5 months and older: 2-4 ml. as needed
Tamper Resistant: Do not use if outer safety seal is broken or missing.
Many infants experience regular bouts of stomach discomfort, bloating and general fussiness throughout the early months of life. Whether from teething, food intolerance or some other reason, this discomfort oftentimes leads to crying or irritability. In more severe cases, a baby may cry or wail inconsolably for prolonged periods of time and appear to be in a state of significant physical discomfort by drawing up the legs to the belly, arching their back, and having a red, flushed face. When this occurs in an otherwise healthy baby in excess of three hours per day for three days per week, and for at least three weeks in a row, the baby is said to have colic.
Rates of colic occur at equal frequency irrespective of whether a baby was bottle fed or formula fed, and without regard to birth order, gender or culture. While the exact cause of colic is unknown, leading theories include:
• Spasms in the muscles of a baby’s immature digestive system
• Excessive amounts of air being swallowed during normal bouts of crying, resulting in painful gas and bloating
• An irregular ratio of “good” to “bad” bacteria in the digestive tract
When methods such as swaddling, burping, infant massage, or a warm bath are not effective in alleviating their little ones’ painful gas, bloating and stomach discomfort, many parents have turned to the age old tradition of Gripe Water.

Why Supplements Are Important by Dr. Murray Clarke, ND., D.Hom., L.Ac
In my clinic as a homeopathic pediatrician, my efforts are dedicated to understanding what promotes health. This includes what causes, what prevents, as well as what heals the diverse conditions affecting our children. Careful nurturing through the formative years creates the basis for good health throughout life. On the physical level, this means a healthful diet and nutritional supplements.
- Studies from around the world show that modern farming methods have resulted in depleted soil conditions. Hence, the foods grown on that soil no longer contain the full spectrum of essential nutrients needed for healthy development, strong immune function and emotional and mental vitality.
- Fast foods, junk foods, processed foods, poor dietary habits, and the finicky appetites of many children also require nutritional supplementation to correct, and balance nutritional deficiencies.
- The extraordinary increase in exposure to environmental pollutants and toxicity from this century’s industrial pursuits creates the need for extra immune and anti-oxidant protection for today’s children.
A child who does not receive enough of all the essential vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids will be much more prone to a wide variety of illnesses. I developed the ChildLife® line of nutritional supplements to increase awareness about these deficiencies and their consequences, and to provide all the necessary ingredients in a great tasting and readily available form.
The body and mind developed during childhood create the foundation for the rest of your child’s life. It is my hope that ChildLife Essentials® will play an ongoing role in developing and maintaining many healthful and hopeful lives.
